Lira teaches harp at the Thayer Performing Arts Center, directs the South Lancaster Academy Choir and VOCE, their touring choir, and teaches Musikgarten classes to preschoolers in South Lancaster. She began teaching harp at Joy of Music in February 2010.

He currently works as a teacher at the Enrique Rebasamen educational institution teaching music to children between the ages of 3 and 15, as well as soloist and member of the Zart-Duo duet where he composes and arranges pieces for guitar and piano.Lira Cady: Harp - Lira Cady is a graduate of Atlantic Union College, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Music Performance. Carl Swanson has been her primary harp instructor since she first started playing the harp. Lira is a freelance musician, performing throughout Central Massachusetts. Her orchestral affiliations have included the Thayer Symphony Orchestra, the Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra, Atlantic Wind Symphony, South Eastern Massachusetts Chamber Orchestra and the New England Youth Ensemble. Lira is also a member of the Romantic Harp and Violin Duo with Sheila Reid, violinist and Synergy, a trio for flute, harp and organ with flutist Debbie Frank and organist William Ness. He has given recitals in important concert halls including the Julián Carrillo hall of Radio UNAM, the San Cristóbal museum in Mexico City, the auditorium in Bogotá, the Jorge Roa Martínez auditorium in the city of Pereira, the Pedro Conservatory Morales Pino of the city of Cartago, the Teaching Center for Foreigners of the city of Taxco, the Superior Court of Justice of Mexico City and the Copper Festival in Santa Clara-Michoacán. He has seen master classes with Ricardo Cobo (Colombia), Pavel Steidl (Czech Republic), Gabriel Bianco (France), Marco Tamayo (Cuba-Austria), among others. He finished his studies in music education with honors at the Technological University of Pereira where he received a scholarship to study instrumentalist at the National Autonomous University of Mexico under the tutelage of Cuban master Antonio Alberto Rodríguez Delgado, during which time he also studied of guitar improvement at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla. Afterwards, he studied at the conservatory of the city of Popayán where he took harmony and counterpoint classes with the teachers Harold Vázquez and Pedro Ramírez, and of musical forms with Álvaro Gallego and Mario Gómez Viñez. Born in the city of Popayán-Colombia he began his musical studies at the age of 12 years with the composer Jairo Mo-reno taking composition and instrument classes.
